About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Environmental Health Manager to lead the Food, Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, and Enviro-crime services. You will provide effective operational and tactical management to assigned teams and line management of team leaders, delivering and continuously improving services. Collaboration with colleagues, members, and partners to support the implementation of objectives in the Council Plan is essential.

You will maintain awareness of developments in environmental health and associated legislation, ensuring compliance with statute and best practice while meeting member and public aspirations. You will assist in managing the Environmental Health service, formulating policy, developing service initiatives, and exploring income generation opportunities.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of a prominent public-facing service, offering the opportunity to shape standards across the borough. The role is politically restricted and requires a UK driving licence with access to a car.

Experience
Proven experience in service delivery and management, with a track record of managing complex cases through to conclusion and driving service improvements.
