About the Role
Join AECOM's Impact Assessment Practice team as a graduate based in Croydon or St Albans, starting Spring or Summer 2026. You will be part of a leading environment and sustainability team of around 730 professionals across the UK and Ireland, delivering solutions to public and private sector clients. The team plays a key role in addressing climate and biodiversity emergencies through multidisciplinary environmental inputs on nationally significant infrastructure projects including sustainable energy generation, transmission, and water distribution.
You will work closely with clients and design teams to identify environmental constraints, avoid impacts, and develop solutions that deliver benefits. Your responsibilities will include coordinating environmental assessment reports, supporting projects through planning consent and post-consent phases, and contributing to the delivery of environmentally beneficial outcomes. This role requires strong communication skills, an appetite to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications
Ideally a relevant first degree or postgraduate degree in one or more of the following disciplines: environmental impact assessment, environmental economics, environmental management, environmental planning, environmental policy, environmental science, geography, housing (sustainable, planning, regeneration, urban management), social science, or sustainable development.
Understanding of digital solutions to support environmental and sustainability challenges is desirable.
A full driving licence or access to reliable transport is beneficial but not essential.
Permanent right to work in the UK is required.
