We are now seeking an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager to join our Rail business and play a pivotal role in driving environmental excellence strategy and sustainable practices across our Rail Systems portfolio of operations.

As an Environmental & Sustainability Manager you will:
- Lead on the implementation of environmental and sustainability strategies across a diverse Rail portfolio
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and client requirements
- Work closely with project teams, clients, regulators, and stakeholders to embed best practice
- Identify opportunities for carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and environmental enhancements
- Champion innovation in sustainability, supporting Balfour Beatty's Net Zero ambitions

Requirements

Experience
Strong experience in environmental and sustainability management within construction or infrastructure, preferably rail. Excellent knowledge of UK environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.

Confident communicator, able to engage teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Passionate about driving real change and leaving a positive legacy for people and the environment.

Qualifications
Relevant degree or professional qualification desirable (IEMA, CEnv, or equivalent).
