About the Role
Nicholsons is seeking a Forester for an industry placement year from September 2027 to August 2028. Join a growing forestry team working across woodland creation, management, and estate projects. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of modern forestry, from planting and establishment through to woodland management, harvesting, and conservation. Key responsibilities include assisting with woodland creation and management projects, supporting forestry operations on estates and commercial woodlands, carrying out surveys, inspections and data collection, working alongside experienced foresters and land managers, and developing practical and technical forestry skills. This 12-month placement is based at our Oxfordshire site in North Aston. We aim to welcome the successful candidate to develop a career at Nicholsons after completion of their studies. Experience
A placement year student studying Forestry, Arboriculture or a related subject.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a relevant degree or course related to Forestry, Arboriculture, or similar fields.
