About the Role
At Action for Children, we aim to provide safe and happy spaces for all children and young people using our services. Our outdoor spaces play a vital role in this goal. We are seeking volunteer gardeners to help maintain these areas, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and enjoyable for our service users. Your responsibilities will include planting according to the season, cutting grass, lifting and clearing garden rubbish, sweeping, weeding, pruning, watering, dead heading plants, and assisting with other related gardening tasks as needed.
Experience
Experience in gardening is required, including pruning different plants.
About you
You should be happy to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain showers, and have a willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team.
Qualifications
To volunteer, you will need to provide two references from non-family members and any other relevant documents related to the role. You will also be expected to complete an induction and any necessary training, and adhere to all charity policies and guidelines.
