About the Role
At Action for Children, we aim to provide safe and happy spaces for all children and young people using our services. Our outdoor spaces play a vital role in achieving this goal. We are seeking volunteer gardeners to help maintain these areas, ensuring they remain safe, tidy, and enjoyable for our service users. Your responsibilities will include planting according to the season, cutting grass, lifting and clearing garden rubbish, sweeping, weeding, pruning, watering, dead heading plants, and assisting with other related gardening tasks as needed.

Experience
Experience in gardening is required, including pruning various plants.

About you
Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain showers. Willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team.

Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years. Disclosure checks are required. Volunteers must provide two references from non-family members and comply with all charity policies and guidelines. Completion of an induction and any relevant training is mandatory.
