About the Role
Do you have what it takes to join our Masterplanning, Landscape & Assessment (MLA) team? We are searching for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Landscape Architect to join our growing MLA team in September 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio while working alongside industry-leading experts and building the foundations of a successful career. Our MLA Team sits within the Planning department and is an integral part of the largest Planning Consultancy in the Eastern Region. Core skills include Master Planning, Landscape Design and Assessment, with key markets across the golden triangle of London, Cambridge and Oxford, including the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.

MLA is a multi-disciplinary design team focused on shaping the built environment. We work across cities, towns, villages and rural areas, considering the interaction between landscapes, streets, buildings and public spaces to create functional, attractive and sustainable places.

As a graduate, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our department. You will join a collaborative, supportive team that values knowledge-sharing and cross-disciplinary working. Regular catch-ups, team events and joint projects create a strong sense of community and offer excellent opportunities for professional growth.

Key duties may include:
- Contributing to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and Appraisals
- Undertaking site constraint studies and development potential assessments including site visits and baseline assessments
- Assisting in preparation of Design and Access Statements or Concept Studies
- Preparing master plans at various scales and levels of detail
- Preparing landscape planning and construction packages
- Providing Landscape Architecture advice to clients
- Undertaking administrative duties of a Landscape Architect
- Supporting the MLA team in project work and team operations
- Identifying opportunities to build relationships within the firm and wider property industry
- Promoting the services of the MLA team alongside the Planning Department

Our Graduate vacancies close on Saturday 31st October 2026, but we encourage early applications as we may close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable candidates.

At Bidwells, we are invested in your long-term career development. Our Graduate Planners benefit from structured support, mentoring and practical experience designed to help progress towards Chartered membership. You will also join our two-year graduate development program to enhance personal effectiveness, commercial and financial acumen, and client delivery skills, building a robust foundation for a successful career in the property sector beyond technical expertise.
