About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Landscape and Townscape Assessment expert to join our established Masterplanning, Landscape and Assessment (MLA) Team, to lead, drive and grow our Assessment services. This key position within our Planning Division, the largest Planning Consultancy in the Eastern Region, offers flexibility to be based across multiple offices including Cambridge, Oxford, London, Milton Keynes or Norwich.
This Landscape and Townscape Assessment Lead will work closely with the Head of Landscape Architecture and Masterplanning, guiding a talented team of professionals and trusted consultants to deliver innovative solutions across the golden triangle of London, Cambridge and Oxford, including the Oxford-Cambridge Arc. You will play a pivotal role in shaping clients' strategies, balancing development needs with environmental preservation through creative and commercial approaches.
The MLA team delivers comprehensive services across cities, towns, villages and rural areas, focusing on the relationships between landscapes, streets, buildings and public spaces to create functional, attractive and sustainable places. Working amongst some of the UK’s most iconic townscapes such as Oxford’s Dreaming Spires, the multidisciplinary team integrates landscape, biodiversity and social outcomes to ensure human-scale experience remains central while incorporating dedicated spaces for nature.

Experience
- Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
- Extensive experience in landscape and/or townscape assessment
- Expert knowledge of landscape and visual impact assessment methodologies
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable success in practice growth

- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute is desirable

Qualifications
