About the Role
Join Powersystems UK and play a key role in powering the UK's transition to renewable energy. As a High Voltage Substation Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and testing of high-voltage structures, switchgear, and associated equipment in outdoor substations up to 132kV. Your duties will include completing inspections, ductor testing, and quality checks, ensuring all installations comply with drawings, specifications, and required standards. You will also guide and mentor less experienced fitters and apprentices, maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship. Working closely with the wider HV Installation team, you will operate within your competence and agreed safe working practices while representing Powersystems professionally and upholding core principles such as Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership, and Proactivity.

Experience
- Strong practical experience as an HV Fitter
- Proven experience in installation, assembly, and testing of HV switchgear and substation equipment
- Skilled in oxygen and propane brazing and exothermic welding
- Knowledge of BS 7671 regulations is advantageous
- Experience guiding or mentoring less experienced fitters and apprentices
