About the Role
E.ON UK operates one of the largest Street Lighting Contracting businesses in the UK, with a strong presence in the East and West Midlands and the North West of England. We manage four Street Lighting PFI contracts and work with most local authorities in these areas. Operating as an ICP, we carry out jointing related to the installation and connection of electrical networks for housing developers across the UK. We also have agreements to work on DNO and IDNO networks. To support our growth and meet current obligations, we are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Highways Electrician to join our team based in Stoke-On-Trent.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of street lights and both routine and non-routine street lighting maintenance, including electrical testing
- Routine electrical street lighting maintenance and installation
- Non-routine electrical street lighting maintenance including fault finding and repairs
- Electrical testing
- Driving and operating company vehicles appropriate to the role
- Carrying out risk assessments and working in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Working independently or as part of a team, including supervision of a working party
- Attending call outs as required
- Using hand held electronic devices to record information

Experience
Extensive and proven relevant trade experience in electrical work related to street lighting and highways.
Qualifications
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or Street Lighting and LV services training programme
- City & Guilds 236 Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent
- 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualification
- Full G39 qualification
- Current NRSWA Accreditation
- ECS Card
- Full UK driving licence
