About the Role
We are recruiting an Inventory Operations Manager to join our Inventory & Supply team, responsible for warehousing, storage, and distribution of materials and critical equipment across Thames Water’s front-line teams. Operating 24/7 throughout the year, this team manages multiple inventory locations, ensuring safe custody, real-time visibility, and timely delivery of essential materials to support front-line operations.

In this critical role, you will oversee the establishment and management of storage locations aligned with service level agreements across multiple sites. You will ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and inventory control processes, lead and develop a team of inventory operatives, manage rotas, and uphold performance standards.

Your responsibilities will include managing inbound receipt and outbound distribution of critical materials using SAP Warehouse Management and RF technology, maintaining accurate stock records with zero discrepancies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure service continuity during incidents and emergencies. Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management
- Demonstrable expertise in SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and RF systems (essential)
- Leadership experience in logistics or warehousing operations
- Valid forklift licenses (counterbalance and reach truck)

- Strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Full driving licence
- Ability to lead and develop a team, manage rotas, and maintain high performance standards

Qualifications
Relevant forklift licenses are required. Other formal qualifications are not specified but experience and skills in warehouse management systems and leadership are essential.
