About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Thames Water's inventory team based at the Kidlington depot. As an Inventory Supervisor, you will support and lead the Stores' administrative and stock management processes across Distribution Hubs within a specific region. Your responsibilities include providing supervisory governance for stock and asset integrity, engaging with Network Inventory teams to provide resilience and support, and ensuring compliance with standards, processes, and policies.

You will assist Site Managers in support of SLG and Plant management and act as COP/Deputy Controller of Premises in some locations. You will initiate stocktaking activities, ensure teams meet daily output targets, manage receipts using SAP WM/RF, and support the development of processes to help Distribution Hub operatives perform effectively.

Additional duties include maintaining consumable resources, managing faults and investigations with stakeholders, supervising the returns process, providing resilience during events, supporting outside normal working hours on a standby rota, investigating stock variances, and developing the team’s SAP WM expertise as a Super User.

You will maintain stock integrity for pipes, fittings, PPE, and small tools, oversee material and system labelling, use SAP WM and RF handheld devices to support warehouse operations, and carry out administrative duties such as data input, filing, and email management. You will also provide coaching, mentoring, and appraisal support to Thames Water employees as required.

Experience
Proven supervisory experience in stock or asset management is advantageous. Familiarity with SAP WM/RF and warehouse operations is preferred. Forklift operation experience (Counter Balance, Telehandler, Reach Truck) is desirable.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong product knowledge and asset management capabilities. Commercial awareness relating to costs, KPIs, and SAP WM interpretation. Self-starter with the ability to implement and embed new processes. Strong interpersonal skills and effective organisation and time management. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated, but relevant experience and skills in inventory management, SAP WM, and forklift operation will be highly valued.
