About the Role
Across government, digital transformation depends on the delivery of secure, scalable and high-performing applications that meet user needs and support organisational priorities. As platforms such as Salesforce become increasingly central to service delivery, strong technical leadership is critical to ensure solutions are well-designed, resilient and aligned with enterprise standards. Ofgem plays a vital role in the UK’s energy system, protecting consumers and enabling a more secure, fair and sustainable energy future, and high-quality engineering capability is essential to delivering this transformation.
Ofgem is on an ambitious transformation journey. Within the Digital, Data and Security Services (DDSS) directorate, we are delivering a broad portfolio of digital, data and AI initiatives. As a Lead Developer (Salesforce), you will play a critical role in shaping the technical delivery of Salesforce solutions across Ofgem. You will provide hands-on leadership to development teams, setting standards, guiding design decisions and ensuring delivery of high-quality, secure and scalable applications. You will work closely with architects, product managers and delivery teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, while fostering a culture of best practice and continuous improvement.
This is a senior technical role requiring deep Salesforce expertise, strong engineering leadership and the ability to operate across complex delivery environments.
