About the Role
GE Vernova’s Power Conversion and Storage business provides electrification systems critical to customers’ power and energy needs across high-performance applications. As Lead Insulation Engineer, you will own the design, specification, and technical integrity of insulation systems for rotating electrical machines, directly influencing product quality, manufacturing outcomes, and long-term field performance. This senior individual contributor role involves close collaboration with CAD and Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and customers to solve complex technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead insulation system design ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements, provide technical guidance on material selection and supplier qualification, support manufacturing process implementation and continuous improvement, define and lead insulation test and validation activities, and investigate insulation-related failures to drive corrective actions.

Experience
- Strong knowledge of insulation systems, materials, and processes used in rotating electrical machines.
- Proven experience working across engineering, manufacturing, test, and supply chain functions.
- Ability to analyse technical issues and develop practical, reliable solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About you
- Technically rigorous engineer with deep expertise in insulation systems for rotating machines.
- Comfortable working independently on complex design challenges and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Formal education such as Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
- Preferred knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards relevant to insulation design.
- Familiarity with type and routine testing of insulation on components.
- Experience with Teamcenter, SAP, or equivalent PLM software.
- SC (Security Check) clearance currently held or previously obtained is a plus.
