38 Hours Monday - Friday 7:30 am– 3:36 pm plus standby and overtime opportunities.

Salary
Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus a company van, tools, and PPE.

About the Role
We are recruiting Mechanical and Electrical Technicians to join our Water Production team and work out of our Chingford or Coppermills Water Treatment Works. As a successful candidate, you will work in multi-disciplinary teams and carry out scheduled, planned, reactive, out-of-hours, and emergency maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment in compliance with company procedures to minimise plant breakdown. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference. You will investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process, which may involve diagnosing complex faults during incidents. You will also carry out planned maintenance work on electrical equipment, provide technical advice to the broader team, and use various technical equipment such as pumps, 3-phase motors, electronic control systems, and chemical handling equipment.

Experience
You should be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or possess NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering.

You are a problem solver, able to identify potential issues and implement solutions. You are an excellent communicator, resilient, and can adapt to the pressures of work in a constantly changing environment. You can work with minimum supervision, have knowledge of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry, and are a team player who respects others and supports their development.

Qualifications
Full UK driving licence is required.
