38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, plus standby and overtime opportunities increasing earnings by a potential £8,000 - £10,000

Up to £39,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools and PPE provided
About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our Maintenance team at Hampton Water Treatment Works. Your role will be to ensure all equipment at the waste treatment works runs safely and efficiently using proactive and reactive maintenance methods to keep the site operational. You will investigate plant failures and perform repairs quickly and efficiently to avoid process interruptions, including diagnosing complex faults and repairing during incidents. You will provide technical advice, refer to up-to-date technical knowledge, and support or train technical trainees as required. Equipment you will work on includes motors, gearboxes, screw/chain conveyors, centrifuges, various pumps and associated control gear, 3-phase motors, starters, automatic valves, flow, level and pressure measurement devices, programmable chemical handling and dosing equipment. You will also complete statutory checks as required and always work safely in compliance with Health and Safety guidance and procedures.

Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering.
