About the Role
Join Natural England and play a vital role in shaping a future where nature and people thrive. This position offers a rare opportunity to influence systematic change within the planning system and planning casework through the Nature Restoration Fund (NRF). The NRF aims to accelerate development while introducing innovative mechanisms for significant environmental protection and nature recovery at scale. You will support the set up of Natural England as a ‘Delivery Body’ under the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, contribute to project management, governance, and digital system development, and help build a scalable, flexible NRF service. Working within the Sustainable Development Portfolio, you will help shape legislative planning and policy reforms that are customer focused, digitally enabled, and sustainable in the long term. This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.

Experience
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting work with contractors or suppliers on digital systems or services (desirable).
- Experience of assisting with management of contractors or suppliers involved in digital system development (desirable).
- Experience providing programme or project support, including tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and assisting with reporting and coordination (desirable).
