
Location
Abbey Wood, London – Crossness (SE2 9AQ). Travel required to field-based sites in postcodes SE1, SE3-18, SE21-24, SE26, SE27.
Hours
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some evening visits required. Flexible working hours can be accommodated.
Salary
Up to £31,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Join Thames Water’s growing Environmental Performance Team as a Network Protection Investigating Agent. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team. You will play a key role in making our networks cleaner and safer, helping customers, communities, and the environment thrive.
- You will work closely with customers to reduce blockages, sewage flooding, and pollution, protecting the network and environment.
- You will be the sole worker responsible for your area.
- Daily engagement with customers to support and educate on grease management and correct waste disposal.
- Promote best kitchen practices to prevent misuse of drains and stop the formation of 'Fatbergs'.
This role offers a company vehicle for business use and a fuel card.
Experience
- Experience working with and managing diverse customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently, managing your own time effectively.
- Confident and persuasive communicator at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Team player who can collaborate and support remotely while managing workload.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and ability to use an Android smartphone (training provided).
- Clean driving licence essential due to travel requirements.
