Our Mobility team is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our team to be part of a Port Expansion project. As Planning Manager, you will support the Planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. You will be responsible for advocating Mace's value of Safety First and leading exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards. You will possess expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio and champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing for your team.

You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. Supporting the long-term success of Planning performance for specified sectors and contributing to broader company goals will be key. You will assist senior management in negotiations, contract development, and business development, ensuring due diligence is applied. You will also support the long-term development of strategy for the function or business unit, creating a sustainable business future.

Requirements

Experience
- Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Extensive experience in successful planning of projects and programmes in the infrastructure sector.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Strong P6 experience.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations shape project outlooks.
