About the Role
Join WSP’s Future of Mobility team, a diverse group of specialists including researchers, town planners, engineers, economists, behavioural scientists, data specialists, and transport planners. This Principal Consultant role focuses on emerging mobility modes, services, systems, and business models such as connected and automated mobility, micromobility, demand responsive transport, and ticketing, payment and information systems. You will provide consultancy and advisory services to public and private sector clients, helping them shape strategy, policy, investment cases, and programmes of work related to the future of mobility.

Your role will involve delivering consultancy projects, developing business cases, leading feasibility studies, conducting market and policy research, designing and delivering user research, supporting funding applications and policy development, managing projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery, and applying strong analytical skills to provide robust recommendations. You will also contribute to business development activities including client engagement and bid preparation.

This role suits individuals who enjoy working at the interface of ideas, evidence, and decision-making rather than technical design or systems engineering. You will be supported by senior team members and have opportunities to become a subject matter expert in your area of passion. Occasional travel for client meetings will be required to build meaningful relationships.

WSP offers a culture that celebrates curiosity, innovation, diversity, and inclusion, with a strong commitment to work-life balance, health and wellbeing, and professional development. Join a global team of over 69,000 employees dedicated to making a positive impact in communities worldwide.
