About the Role
Join AECOM as a Principal Marine Consultant and play a key role in shaping the environmental performance of marine development projects across sectors such as offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports and harbours, and coastal developments. You will work closely with technical experts, including our in-house marine ecology team, within a large Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team spanning the UK and Ireland. This role involves managing environmental inputs throughout all project stages, from early strategy and site identification through to construction and operation. You will lead the preparation and technical review of EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting assessments, ensuring the highest quality standards and compliance with rigorous quality management procedures. Your project management skills will be essential in managing resources and budgets, while collaborating with integrated teams to identify environmental constraints, mitigation solutions, and opportunities to enhance environmental outcomes. You will also manage client relationships, internal teams, and subcontractors, and contribute to business development by promoting AECOM’s environmental services and leading proposal development. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative marine projects that deliver sustainable legacies and positive community impacts while working within a supportive and inclusive environment.
