Up to £43,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
We are seeking a Process Controller to join our area operations team at Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the sewage treatment plant and equipment. Your duties will include carrying out high voltage and related low voltage switching operations, monitoring and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, and maintaining regulatory quality standards to meet customer demand. You will process faults and advise on suitable rectifications, raise issues to Maintenance Scheduler or Team Leader as needed, and carry out isolations and issue Permits to Work as part of a safe system of work. Additionally, you will assist with on-site capital projects, coordinate maintenance and operational personnel, monitor stock levels, and undertake safety and security checks. Operating and monitoring processes from the Control Room using SCADA is a key part of the role, with occasional inspections and operations in the process area. This is a full-time permanent position requiring the ability to work unsupervised on 12-hour day and night shifts.

Experience
Demonstrable logical thinking, attention to detail, and workload management skills are essential. Experience with SCADA systems is beneficial.
About you
You must hold a full UK driving licence and have strong health and safety knowledge. The role requires the ability to make decisions under pressure, work autonomously and as part of a team, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport are important. You must be fully competent in using company IT systems and able to work unsupervised on 12-hour shifts, both days and nights.
Qualifications
A qualification in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Automation (M, E or ICA) is advantageous. Relevant qualifications include Technical City and Guilds, ONC/OND, HNC/HND or equivalent. Being an Appointed Person for High Voltage (HV) electrical work or the ability to successfully complete the AP(HV) course is desirable.
