Up to £43,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Controller to join our Mogden Sewage Treatment Works as a key member of the area operations team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Sewage Treatment Works, including the plant and equipment. Your duties will include carrying out high voltage and related low voltage switching operations, monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, and meeting regulatory quality standards and customer demand. You will process faults and advise on suitable rectifications, raise issues to the Maintenance Scheduler or Team Leader as needed, carry out isolations and issue Permits to Work as part of a safe system of work. Additionally, you will assist with on-site capital project works, coordinate maintenance and operational personnel, raise reactive work requests, monitor stock levels, and manage deliveries. You will undertake safety and security checks and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and colleagues. Operations will be monitored and controlled from the Control Room using SCADA, with occasional visits to the process area for inspections and operational tasks.

Requirements

Experience
Ability to demonstrate logical thinking, attention to detail, and effective workload management. Experience with SCADA systems is beneficial. Fully competent in using company IT systems.

Strong decision-making skills, including working under pressure. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders effectively. Commitment to health and safety. Must be able to work unsupervised on 12-hour day and night shifts.

Qualifications
Full UK driving licence is essential. Qualification in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation (M, E or ICA) is advantageous, including Technical City and Guilds, ONC/OND, HNC/HND or equivalent. Being an Appointed Person for High Voltage (electrical work) or the ability to complete the AP(HV) course is desirable.
