Hours
36 hours per week across a 12-hour rotating shift pattern.

Salary
Up to £43,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Controller to join our Mogden Sewage Treatment Works as a key member of the area operations team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Sewage Treatment Works, including plant and equipment management. Your duties will include carrying out high voltage and related low voltage switching operations, monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, and meeting regulatory quality standards and customer demand. You will process faults, advise on suitable rectifications, and escalate issues to the Maintenance Scheduler or Team Leader as needed. The role involves carrying out isolations to plant and issuing Permits to Work as part of a safe system of work. You will assist with on-site capital project works, coordinate maintenance and operational personnel, and raise reactive work requests when required. Monitoring stock levels and managing deliveries will also be part of your responsibilities. You will undertake safety and security checks, ensuring the health and safety of yourself and colleagues. Operations will be monitored and controlled from the Control Room using SCADA systems, with occasional site visits to carry out operations and inspections.

Requirements

Experience
Ability to demonstrate logical thinking, attention to detail, and effective workload management. Experience with SCADA systems is beneficial. Proven ability to work unsupervised on 12-hour shifts, both days and nights.

About you
Strong decision-making skills, including working under pressure. Ability to build strong relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Health and safety knowledge is essential. Fully competent in using company IT systems. A full UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role.

Qualifications
Qualification in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Automation (M, E or ICA) is advantageous. Relevant technical qualifications include City and Guilds, ONC/OND, HNC/HND or equivalent. Being an Appointed Person for High Voltage (electrical work) or the ability to complete the AP(HV) course is desirable.
