Hours
38 hours per week on a 12-hour rotating shift pattern. This role requires the ability to work unsupervised for long periods and cover shifts as required by the Thames Water shift agreement.
Salary
Up to £44,300 per annum, depending on skills and experience
About the Role
As a Process Controller reporting to the Shift Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at Coppermills WTW production works, ensuring wholesome water is available 24 hours a day for our customers. You will work as part of a team to ensure the effective and continuous operation of the site, strictly adhering to all necessary process values and regulations.
- Monitor and control water treatment processes remotely via SCADA, including abstraction, filtration, ozonation, and disinfection.
- Conduct sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Diagnose and resolve faults, responding calmly to emergencies such as process or power failures.
- Complete operational documentation and shift logs.
- Maintain Health & Safety standards, contribute to risk assessments, and ensure compliance with COMAH regulations.
- Collaborate with Water Quality, Maintenance, and Strategic Control teams to resolve issues and optimise performance.
- Keep technical knowledge and training up to date with changes in procedures and asset standards.

Experience
- Hands-on and practical approach with impeccable attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
- Experience of lone working and willingness to work in confined spaces under challenging conditions
- Previous process and/or water industry experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
About you
- Flexible and able to be signed off on multiple areas on site
- Able to work unsupervised for long periods and cover shifts as required
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills essential for using email and operating plant computers/SCADA equipment
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence required due to the nature of the role
