About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician (Advanced) to join our wastewater team at the prestigious Western (Pimlico) Strategic Pumping Station in Chelsea. As part of a shift team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running and operation of the station.
- Running the station, operating plant, performing routine checks, front-line maintenance, and problem-solving to maintain services within the network
- Monitoring local network and pumping stations via SCADA
- Managing all site activities, including those delivered by contractors, with potential use of specialist electrical, mechanical, or ICA skills
- Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance through operation, cleaning, maintenance, fault-finding, monitoring, data collation, and reporting
- Process fault finding and first fix rectification
- Undertaking health & safety and security checks
- Completing planned and preventive maintenance to ensure compliant plant operation
- Taking personal responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and colleagues

Experience
Experience in a relevant industrial processing or engineering environment is ideal.
About you
You should be a problem solver with excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to implement timely and effective solutions to operational problems. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential. You must be willing to learn and develop within the team, be flexible, and work well as part of a team. Computer skills and experience with data input and enquiry are required. Preparedness to be trained in safety procedures, including Confined Space Entry, is necessary.
Qualifications
You will be working towards or possess an NVQ Level 2 or a similar qualification.
