About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join a close and supportive Operations team within Strategic Pumping and Trunk Sewers. You will focus on maintaining and improving strategic pumping stations across North-East London and support the team on larger-scale projects. No prior water industry experience is required; we welcome candidates from other sectors who can bring fresh perspectives and ideas.
This essential front-line role involves performing a range of activities to ensure all plant and equipment associated with strategic pumping stations and trunk sewers in London are kept serviceable, safe, and efficient.
Key responsibilities include completing routine checks, basic planned preventative maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure smooth operation of pumping stations; monitoring plant efficiency and identifying trends; conducting safety tasks including statutory testing for legionella, fire, and housekeeping; operating large storm pumping stations and mechanical equipment for safe plant and hydraulic flow isolations; and completing confined space entries for inspections, maintenance, and fault finding.
