About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our team covering water production sites, reservoirs, and pumping stations across Southwest London. No prior water industry experience is required; we welcome candidates from outside the sector who bring fresh perspectives and ideas. This essential front-line role ensures the smooth operation of our water treatment works to maintain supply to customers and protect the environment. You will work in all weather conditions carrying out a range of tasks including planned preventative maintenance of equipment to support plant operations.
Key responsibilities include operating plant and equipment used in groundwater treatment to meet strict drinking water standards, performing cleaning, basic maintenance, routine checks, and fault-finding. You will monitor, collate, and report data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, undertake health and safety and security checks, and report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly. Accurate fault reporting and recording of work and asset information using a field laptop is essential. You will also receive chemical deliveries, ensuring correct checks and paperwork are completed, provide technical assistance to new starters and colleagues, and actively participate in team meetings, safety briefings, and company communications.
