About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. We are delivering a range of PMO and Project Controls services to support the delivery of a nationally significant infrastructure project in Immingham. This role will primarily be remote-based with some site visits required. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large scale infrastructure, marine, ports, transport or heavy civil projects. Experience with project reporting from a cost, control, scheduling and/or risk perspective is highly desirable.

You will be responsible for delivering PMO and Project Controls performance on assigned commissions with support and mentorship from senior PMO, Project Controls or Project/Programme Management teams. You will guide the effective implementation of PMO and Project Controls frameworks and strategies, build strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, and deliver monthly performance reports and reviews.

Additional responsibilities include identifying development opportunities in PMO and Project Controls methodologies such as Earned Value Management (EVM), driving integration of PMO and Planning disciplines including Risk Management and Planning, and aligning PMO and Project Controls activities with Mace’s control centre, client requirements, and relevant legislation.

Working collaboratively towards the net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for proactively identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Experience
Experience working on large scale infrastructure, marine, ports, transport or heavy civil projects is essential. Knowledge of project reporting from cost, control, scheduling and/or risk perspectives is highly desirable. Basic understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy. Familiarity with PMO and Project Controls service delivery in one or more sectors such as rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, or hospitals is advantageous.

About you
Strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Self-motivated and able to work independently with mentorship support. Willingness and ability to travel to Hull on an ad hoc basis. Commitment to Mace’s values including safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunities for people to excel. Open to flexible, part-time, and hybrid working arrangements where suitable.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated, but relevant experience and knowledge in PMO and Project Controls disciplines are required. A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and professional development is expected.
