About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to manage the delivery of large-scale projects within our Land discipline, working with leading clients in aviation, highway, rail, energy and water industries. Based in our Belfast office within the Project Management Office (PMO), you will oversee projects for our Land Services team located across the UK and India. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day management and delivery of projects or significant work packages, ensuring clear definition and understanding of objectives, scope, deliverables and success criteria. You will develop and maintain delivery plans, coordinate resources, manage dependencies and monitor performance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and risk standards.

You will establish and maintain effective project controls and governance in line with WSP’s Business Management System, covering programme and progress management, financial and commercial management, risk and issue management, change control, reporting and stakeholder management. Using project data, you will identify emerging issues, make informed decisions and take corrective actions as needed.

Working closely with the Project Director, Technical Leads and wider project team, you will act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, building effective relationships, managing interfaces and dependencies, and ensuring alignment of project outcomes with client objectives. You will proactively manage risk and uncertainty by anticipating issues and developing mitigation and contingency plans.

Depending on the project, you may lead Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators or other team members, providing clear direction, allocating work, monitoring performance and supporting their development. You will contribute to a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing project environment and support health, safety and wellbeing arrangements.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience across major infrastructure projects and progress towards Senior Project Manager level, with access to WSP’s project management community, professional development and career pathways.
