Location
London, Stable Street (Near Kings Cross station). Flexible working available with a hybrid policy: two days per week in the office and the remainder working from home, with the option to come in more often.

About the Role
Tetra Tech International Development is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Land Facility programme as a Project Officer. This fixed-term role until 31 March 2026 is ideal for someone early in their career with some experience in international development, looking to gain further expertise in programme and project management across diverse geographies on a large-scale global programme.
The Land Facility is a £50m, seven-year global programme funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, focused on advancing effective and sustainable land governance reforms in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. The programme supports economic growth, rural livelihoods, conflict prevention, women’s rights, and environmental protection.
As a Project Officer, you will primarily support the management and delivery of short-term Strategic Support Projects (SSPs), which are discrete projects ranging from £50-250K, lasting approximately 6-7 months, and covering various thematic areas and geographies. Your role will involve project management, administration, contracting, reporting, financial oversight, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, flagship international development programme, supporting impactful projects that contribute to sustainable land governance and economic growth.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting international development programmes, ideally in areas such as land reform, economic growth, rural development, climate change, investment facilitation, or infrastructure.
- Experience working in international development consultancy, government, or international NGOs is preferred.
- Understanding of land reform concepts and a strong interest in economic growth, environmental protection, rural livelihoods, climate change, and women’s rights in the international development context.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and work effectively in a multinational, multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, budgets, and trackers.
- Strong organisational and planning skills for project management.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-moving programme environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other offices and project locations, including fragile and conflict-affected states, if required.

- Additional language skills in French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Bahasa Indonesian would be an advantage.
Qualifications
- Degree-level education in a relevant subject such as international development, international relations, governance, politics, economics, agriculture, or equivalent.
- A Master’s degree is desirable but not essential.
