About the Role
A Recycling Line Picker is responsible for sorting and separating recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt in a recycling or waste processing facility. This role ensures recyclable materials are recovered efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include sorting materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, and glass, removing non-recyclable or hazardous items, maintaining quality standards, monitoring the conveyor line for faults, keeping the work area clean and safe, following health, safety and environmental procedures, assisting with housekeeping and general plant operations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.

Working Conditions
Indoor recycling or waste processing facility with exposure to noise, dust, odors, and varying temperatures. The role involves standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Experience
Previous experience in recycling, waste management, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential.

Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Good attention to detail and ability to identify different recyclable materials. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and able to follow safety instructions and procedures.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety are essential.
