
Location
Enfield, London. Base locations include Deephams (N90BA), Kentish Town (NW18SL), or Lea Bridge Depot (E59RJ).
Hours
45 hours per week. Shift pattern includes 1 in 4 weekends, 1 in 4 weeks on a late shift, and 1 in 4 weeks on standby. Flexibility to undertake overtime during peak demand is essential. Some positions offer Monday to Friday fixed day or late shifts.
Salary
£41,000 to £51,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
As an R&M Technical Specialist, you will work with and coach repair and maintenance teams across North London to deliver customer-focused, right-first-time repairs with a strong emphasis on health and safety. You will support on-site delivery of repair and maintenance activities within SLA to achieve business and customer outcomes efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities include overseeing complex repairs such as deep excavations, validating permits to break ground, and providing technical expertise to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. You will mentor and coach less experienced team members to develop their technical skills and operational effectiveness. Engaging with customers and councils to minimize disruption and reduce leakage and service interruptions will be key. Additionally, you will undertake competency assessments of R&M teams to maintain high standards of health and safety compliance and quality of work.

Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Water Industry is essential.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- EUSR Water Hygiene card
- Street Works qualification (NRSWA) or SMSTS
- Service Avoidance Level 2
- First Aid qualification
- Asbestos and COSHH awareness
Additional Skills
