About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Developer to join our Data Team within the BI division. Your work will be central to creating and improving SAC reporting templates and dashboards, helping drive strategic decision-making across the organisation.

As an SAC Developer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to design engaging SAC stories that bring the product owner’s vision to life and translate business requirements into effective, user-focused SAC reporting solutions. You will work alongside SAC developers, Power BI developers, Data Engineering teams, and other technical colleagues to deliver high-quality reporting products and contribute to continuous improvement of SAC reporting capabilities.

You will oversee and maintain a portfolio of SAC artefacts, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and fit for purpose. This includes maintaining high standards for data structures, calculations, and visualisations, proactively identifying opportunities to improve existing solutions and reporting processes.

Supporting users by swiftly resolving incidents and providing technical assistance with productionised SAC stories is a key part of the role. You will investigate and troubleshoot issues across SAC models, stories, data sources, calculations, and reporting processes, working closely with Data Engineering and other technical teams.

Working within Agile and continuous delivery methodologies, you will ensure all requirements are clearly understood and delivered according to the product backlog. You will contribute to testing, quality assurance, and successful implementation of SAC developments.

Effective communication is essential, as you will articulate delivery expectations, work with stakeholders at all levels to define requirements, demonstrate solutions, gather feedback, and prepare and deliver clear presentations and training sessions.

You will also advocate for SAC across the organisation, promoting its benefits and capabilities, leading demonstrations to stakeholders including C-suite, and driving adoption and best practices to maximise value from SAC.

Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud including modelling, data blending, complex calculations, predictive analytics, and planning
- Proficiency with live and acquired data sources integration
- Deep experience writing queries on BW/4HANA
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehouse concepts
- Demonstrable experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions and dashboards
- Strong analytical and data modelling skills within SAC
- Experience working in continuous delivery environments using Agile methodology
- Proven presentation skills with senior stakeholders
- Experience working within large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups is desirable
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale reporting and analytics solutions using SAC is desirable
- Experience working closely with Data Engineering teams to develop and consume data products is desirable
- Experience delivering user training, documentation, demonstrations, and adoption activities for analytics solutions is desirable
- Experience communicating technical capabilities and business insight to senior stakeholders and C-suite is desirable

Qualifications
- Relevant SAP Analytics Cloud, data analytics, business intelligence, or related technical certifications are advantageous
- Experience with SAP Datasphere is a plus
- Experience with Power BI or other enterprise BI platforms is advantageous
- Further experience with SAP BW/4HANA data modelling, queries, and reporting environments is beneficial
- Background in ETL processes and data warehouse management is desirable but not essential
