Location
Mixed home/office-based with an expectation to spend at least two days per week in one of our offices located in Bath, Bristol, London, or Manchester.

Hours
Full-time (40 hours per week) preferred, although applicants able to work four days/32 hours per week will be considered.

About the Role
As a Senior Consultant within Nature Positive, part of the RSK Group, you will join our carbon, climate, and built environment team to conduct and manage complex greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments, verifications, and reporting aligned with the GHG Protocol and other relevant industry standards. Your responsibilities will include data collection, quality assurance, calculations, and reporting/disclosure. You will support organisations in developing decarbonisation targets and plans to reduce GHG emissions and contribute to wider team projects including climate risk and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) work.

Key duties include:
- Setting carbon reduction targets using the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) or other methodologies.
- Providing training and technical support to team members.
- Collaborating with stakeholders through workshops and consultations to promote climate action.
- Delegating tasks to junior colleagues and providing appropriate support.
- Managing projects and client accounts, including maintaining strong client relationships.
- Contributing to business development through writing proposals and tenders.
- Assisting with the management of internal carbon footprinting software.
- Participating in team meetings both online and face-to-face as required.

Requirements

Experience
- Minimum three years of demonstrable relevant experience conducting organisational GHG assessments, preferably within consultancy.
- Strong quantitative and Excel skills (to be assessed during recruitment).
- Experience in project administration and management, including financial management, invoicing, and budgeting.
- Proven ability to present complex information clearly, both orally and in writing.

Qualifications
- First or 2:1 BA/BSc degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Desirable qualifications and skills include:
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ISEP, Energy Institute).
- Experience with software platforms related to carbon management.
- Knowledge of Whole Life Carbon (WLC) assessment in the built environment.
- Familiarity with climate risk assessment frameworks such as TCFD and transition planning.
- Skills in GIS, Alteryx, Python, or similar software.
- Previous line management or delegation experience.
