About the Role
Shape the future of Water Infrastructure with Stantec! We are seeking ambitious engineering leaders with a proven track record of delivering complex projects to join our expanding teams. You will lead and develop project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while working on major infrastructure and non-infrastructure water projects across the South of England. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful water projects that benefit communities and the water sector, partnering with top water clients across the UK and Ireland.

As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a fundamental role in identifying innovative and sustainable solutions, collaborating closely with clients, planning technical delivery, and leading multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. You will work alongside Project Managers to deliver best value and client service excellence, supported by Stantec's world-class expertise to help deliver leading-edge design.

Our Design Managers contribute across asset planning and strategy, concept design, outline design, and detailed design. Projects span clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Our teams work with clients including South West Water, Welsh Water, Thames Water, and others through various engineering consultancy frameworks.

Experience
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams within engineering or utilities sectors, delivering expert design solutions on complex projects. Experience working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Degree qualified (or equivalent) Engineer, ideally chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution such as ICE. Support is available to achieve chartership if required.
