We are seeking ambitious engineering leaders with a proven track record of delivering complex projects to join our expanding teams across the South of England. As a Senior Design Manager, you will lead and develop project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. You will work on exciting water projects that have a significant impact on communities and the water sector, partnering with top water clients across the UK and Ireland to shape the future of the industry.
Our Design Managers work across the entire project lifecycle including asset planning and strategy, concept design, outline design, and detailed design. Projects span clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. You will play a fundamental role in identifying innovative and sustainable solutions, collaborating closely with clients, planning technical delivery, and leading multidisciplinary teams throughout projects.
Working alongside the Project Manager, you will deliver best value and client service excellence, supported by Stantec's world-class expertise to help you deliver leading-edge design. Our teams work with a variety of clients including South West Water's Engineering Consultancy Framework, Welsh Water's Engineering Consultancy Framework, Thames Water's Capital & Engineering Framework, and others.
Experience
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams within the engineering or utilities sectors, delivering expert design solutions on complex projects. Experience working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Degree qualified (or equivalent) Engineer, ideally chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution such as ICE. Support is available to achieve chartership if required.
