About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. As Senior Digital Engineering and BIM Manager, you will support clients and Project Teams by developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, managing processes within a common data environment, and leading the delivery of the information management function for project teams. You will be responsible for supporting the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle, assessing current project resources to ensure they meet project goals, and communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Your role includes conducting interviews to assess BIM candidates, developing BIM execution plans (BEP), and the client's digital handover strategy. You will maintain an understanding of ISO 19650 and applicable standards, ensure security protocols for information viewing and issuing, implement governance and assurance processes, and monitor digital handover to completion. Participation in industry events to stay current with BIM developments is expected.
Additional responsibilities include producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) per ISO 19650, creating information standards, methods, procedures, and shared resources, raising job requisitions to recruit BIM talent, researching compliance with new regulations, and developing object libraries aligned with wider BIM strategy. You will provide assurance and checking of information models, support production of information models (pre-RIBA Stage 3), review Autodesk Construction Cloud account management, and research new technology solutions to improve BIM processes.
You will support construction sequencing strategies using information models, assist the Mace cost team in cost plan preparation from information models, and provide training on databases, data analysis, template creation, assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics. Upskilling client teams, Mace project managers, and design teams through BIM knowledge sharing sessions is a key part of the role.
Collaboration with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way, identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans, managing and influencing key/senior stakeholders, and developing internal and external relationships are essential. You will also work collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition goals, proactively managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.
Right to work in the UK is essential for this role.

Experience in conducting interviews and recruiting BIM talent, as well as providing training and upskilling teams on BIM-related topics.
About you
Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills. Enthusiastic about innovation and continuous improvement in digital engineering and BIM.
