About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors including power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage, you will contribute to projects ranging from large solar farms and energy transition initiatives to habitats regulations assessments and masterplanning for residential developments.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the health, safety and well-being of the team, preparing high-quality and commercially astute bids and tenders, planning and organising all phases of ecological project work, and ensuring resources and budgets meet programme requirements. You will deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services, develop pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and contribute to ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications. You will also author or technically review project deliverables to maintain high standards.
At AECOM, you will be part of a forward-thinking and inclusive environment with around 150 ecology professionals across the UK&I. You will benefit from career development opportunities, a flexible hybrid working model, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and future growth.
