About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work across a diverse portfolio of ecology projects in sectors including power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage, you will contribute to projects like large solar farms, energy transition initiatives, habitats regulations assessments, and masterplanning for new residential developments. Your role will involve planning and organising ecological project phases, supporting bid and tender preparation, delivering high-quality consultancy services, developing pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues, and producing ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications. You will also support health, safety, and well-being within the team and ensure all outputs meet rigorous quality standards. Experience
- Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland
- Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area including protected species licences
- Experience working on projects in energy, defence, water, or related sectors is advantageous

Qualifications
