We are supporting a major client in the transportation sector and have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Manager to join our team in Manchester. This role offers the chance to lead a large, high-energy infrastructure consultancy team while delivering a unique programme.

You will be responsible for delivering client-focused outcomes through strategic planning, governance and performance management. Acting with integrity, you will support commercial negotiations, strategy development and accountable decision-making. You will enable people to excel through collaboration, knowledge sharing and inclusive stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include managing the application of planning, scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies across complex projects, developing high-performing planning teams delivering robust project controls, influencing clients and stakeholders through clear analysis, insight and recommendations, and supporting net zero outcomes through collaborative, carbon-conscious project delivery.

This role requires proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project and offers flexibility with part time, flexible and hybrid working options where suitable.

Experience
Extensive infrastructure project and programme planning experience. Proven leadership of large teams with sustainability and carbon awareness. Strong commercial, financial and senior stakeholder management capability.
