About the Role
At Mace, our purpose is to redefine the boundaries of ambition by creating responsible places that bring transformative impact to people, communities, and societies globally. Within our consult business, we combine leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project.

This role supports one of the largest water companies in the UK, responsible for water and wastewater services in England. The client is committed to delivering services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner, creating sustainable long-term value.

As Senior Planning Manager, you will plan and lead the successful delivery of a programme of works managed by an Area delivery team comprising the client’s partners and contractors. You will ensure alignment with corporate values and requirements including health and safety strategy, target operating model, and regulatory, customer, and resilience outcomes.

You will act as the senior interface between the area delivery team and the business, managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the capital programme in line with business strategy.

You will be a leading advocate of Mace's safety-first value, accountable for maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards. You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and prioritise the wellbeing of your team.

Responsibilities include managing programme delivery environments, applying planning and scheduling methods, leading a team of professionals, providing strategic direction, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and profitably. You will influence clients and stakeholders, tackle complex problems, and contribute to business growth through winning work and developing talent.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and advanced technical expertise in schedule management tools and software. You will support senior stakeholders in shaping long-term strategy and commit to making a positive impact on people, clients, and the planet.

Mace values integrity, client focus, and creating opportunities for people to excel, all of which you will embody and promote in this role.
