Our transportation team is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our team in Manchester. You’ll be responsible for providing strategic direction, supporting effective planning, scheduling and delivery across projects and tenders. You will support business strategy, commercial negotiations and sustainable long-term performance, upholding Mace values. The role involves fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation, building effective relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will direct planning and scheduling activities, applying Earned Value Management (EVM), project controls methodologies, techniques and tools. Managing and developing planning professionals to ensure effective service delivery is key. You will influence clients and stakeholders through clear analysis, recommendations and corrective actions. Collaboration across teams to achieve project objectives and support proactive carbon reduction and net zero transition is essential.

Experience
Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the transport sector. Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams. Experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

About you
Strong commercial and financial acumen. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on. Ability to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation. Commitment to upholding Mace values and supporting sustainable long-term performance.

Qualifications
Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
