£46,000 to £58,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
About the Role
Thames Water is seeking a Senior Process Scientist to join a small, dedicated team providing scientific advice and guidance across internal and external departments. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure water quality is efficiently maintained from source to service reservoir, responding promptly and effectively to incidents, events, and performance shortfalls. You will support compliance and champion optimisation initiatives aimed at reducing costs or improving quality without additional expense. Key responsibilities include water quality monitoring, investigating failures and events, providing recommendations to prevent recurrence, supporting production and capital delivery schemes, conducting audits and treatment reviews, representing Thames Water in stakeholder meetings, and providing out-of-hours technical support on a rota basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the water quality supplied to millions across the Capital.
Experience
- Experience in water science or process engineering within a regulatory framework is advantageous.
- Awareness of Industry Best Operating Practice related to potable water treatment and transmission is beneficial.

Qualifications
- Degree qualification in an appropriate discipline.
