About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. You will join the Hinkley Point C project, a nationally significant programme helping to secure the UK's low-carbon energy future by delivering reliable, affordable electricity to millions of homes for generations to come. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project of unprecedented scale and complexity, while developing your career in an environment where your expertise, leadership, and ambition can make a lasting impact.

Working as a key aspect of an Integrated Project Controls (Cost and Forecasting) team, you will be part of a centre of excellence for project controls implementation. The team acts as the intelligent owners of the single source of delivery performance information, operating as an integrated enabler for the successful delivery of the HPC project.

Your responsibilities will include producing and maintaining accurate cost and forecast data aligned with the cost breakdown structure or work breakdown structure (CBS/WBS), maintaining all cost and forecast data within Cost and Forecast software systems such as EcoSys and SAP, and coordinating and producing cost and forecasting reports according to defined reporting cycles with commentary on key time-related drivers and performance issues.

You will assist in the Trend and Change process, including project-level analysis, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on risks and opportunities. Delivering clear and concise insights to support robust decision-making by utilising commercial and technical information to influence decisions will be essential.

Providing analytical support for Senior Cost Engineers through robust analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data to facilitate prioritisation and necessary actions is a key part of the role. You will collaborate effectively within and across organisational boundaries to achieve mutually successful outcomes, aligned with HPC project values of Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity, and Clarity, and a culture of Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork.

Additional responsibilities include applying fundamental project and business project controls principles, promoting a culture of good governance, risk awareness and compliance, supporting education on project controls reporting functionality, and ensuring all project documents, especially Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked and handled in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.
