About the Role

This role supports delivery of complex projects and programmes focused on low-carbon technologies and infrastructure, ensuring safety, efficiency, and pace.
As Senior Project Controls Manager (Reporting), you will act as the focal point for the project’s month-end reports across portfolio, programme, PMO, supply chain, and senior management. You will produce accurate and timely project reporting information and ensure all contributors meet deadlines every month. Your responsibilities include supporting project controls governance, change control, and baseline management activities, and representing project interests in wider reporting continuous improvement initiatives.
You will direct ad hoc requests for new or amended dashboards, coordinating development with Power BI and technical experts, and influence stakeholder buy-in and adoption of new reporting processes or tools to enhance project visibility and understanding. Additional duties include maintaining reporting archives, liaising with Project Managers and senior leadership, identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and project controls performance, providing project controls support to the delivery team, organising governance forums and project meetings, maintaining the project calendar and reporting schedule, capturing decisions and actions, and tracking escalations to ensure timely completion.
Experience
Demonstrated experience within project controls, PMO, or project management environments. Proven ability to manage project reporting processes and tools such as Power BI, Foundry, and Excel. Experience maintaining trackers, actions, management information, and reporting outputs. Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills within complex project environments. Experience within highly regulated infrastructure sectors is desirable.
About you
Excellent communication skills with an inquisitive nature, able to engage with diverse stakeholders, listen to project updates, and simplify information for succinct reporting at various organisational levels. Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate and assure information accuracy. A proactive approach to identifying improvements in reporting processes and project controls performance. Interest and desire to develop a career within project controls.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in project controls, project management, or related fields are advantageous but not explicitly required. A commitment to continuous professional development and alignment with Mace’s values of safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunity is essential.
