As the leading consultant for the Department for Education (DfE), Mace delivers projects across all principal capital programmes including the Schools Re-building Programme (SRP), free schools, special educational needs, and further education (colleges). We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high performing multidisciplinary teams on a wide portfolio of work covering new build, refurbishment, remodelling, and carbon reduction schemes.

Mace provides key multidisciplinary services in-house including design, cost, information management, sustainability, and health and safety, offering clients an integrated end-to-end service with a single point of accountability. This client-facing role involves developing client strategy, initial design, contractor appointment, and contract management. Projects typically include BIM, off-site construction, soft landings, social value creation, and people and skills development, with a focus on achieving Net Zero Carbon (NZC) in operation and sometimes in construction.

As Senior Project Manager, you will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will provide day-to-day leadership, align teams to deliver objectives and KPIs, manage risks, change processes, and internal fee targets, while fostering collaboration and excellence throughout project delivery. You will manage design teams, consultants, and stakeholders, driving collaboration and service excellence, overseeing budgets, risks, and change management, and maintaining accurate plans and documentation.

Experience
Proven experience delivering education sector projects. Strong project management, commercial, and financial expertise. Ability to lead teams and engage senior stakeholders. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.

Qualifications
