About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. You will lead the successful delivery of the Cambridge WRC Upgrade project. The scope covers developing the outline design, securing funding, supporting stakeholder engagement, and managing the upgrade of the Water Recycling Centre. Reporting to the Programme Director, you will manage change and ensure delivery safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, key stakeholders, interfaces, and manage a Design & Build NEC Contractor. A strong understanding of infrastructure delivery within a regulated water business is beneficial. You will operate within a high-performing team with a strong culture of doing the right thing.
You will be responsible for managing a team of incumbent designers across the AWS stage gated process to deliver outline design, managing and delivering a successful Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase with the new Major Project Framework EPC Contractor, and linking cost and budget into Cambridge Upgrades reporting processes. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile delivery environment with a good understanding of governance.
