About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Environment team as a Senior Water Scientist or Hydrologist, where you will help shape the future of the water industry. Key projects include catchment-wide river restoration plans, hydrological reviews, water balance studies, Natural Flood Management design and modelling, Environmental Improvement Programme (WINEP) delivery, fish pass and river restoration schemes, and strategies to improve catchment water quantity and quality driven by WFD and Local Nature Recovery requirements. The majority of work focuses on the fluvial environment, with significant involvement in estuaries, lakes, and marine environments. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of over 85 specialists in geomorphology, hydrology, hydro-ecology, water quality, and hydrogeology, actively engaging in client contact and commercial project aspects. Health, safety, and environmental considerations underpin all activities. AECOM offers a flexible hybrid working model, career development opportunities, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days to support your growth and well-being.
