Hours
Initial training period: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:36pm. Following training, rotating shift pattern including early, day, late, and night shifts Monday to Sunday with additional payment.

Salary
Starting from £28,335 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
Join Thames Water as a Site Maintenance Operator at our wastewater treatment site on the outskirts of Oxford. No prior water industry experience is required; we welcome fresh perspectives and ideas from candidates outside the sector. You will be part of a frontline operations team responsible for maintaining essential functions of the wastewater treatment works to ensure supply continuity and environmental protection. Your duties will include carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant and equipment, operating and cleaning plant to maintain operational and health and safety standards, attending to reactive maintenance following equipment failure, keeping the site clean and secure, and performing safety and security checks. This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures. Experience
No previous experience in the water industry is required. A willingness to learn and a proactive approach are essential.
